Puzzle Quest: New Expansion Announced for XBOX Live Arcade

Infinite Interactive has announced plans for a downloadable expansion for Puzzle Quest: Challange of the Warlords for XBOX Live Arcade. They seem to be having trouble finding a name for the expansion, though, and have announced a contest to find a good name for the new product. You can enter the contest at the official Puzzle Quest website. The grand prize is a free download of the expansion, and *gasp* naming the game. Hmm that sounds like a pretty lame prize, for doing thier job for them, but whatever.. Key details about the expansion from the website are as follows:

  • Four New Hero Professions - Bard, Rogue, Ranger, Warlock

  • An entirely new part of Agaria to explore with all new quests

  • More than 50 New Spells including Bullseye, Corruption, Darkness, King of Thieves, Song of Pain and more

  • More than 40 New Magic Items including the Stormhammer, Stormshield, Darkblade and Dragonslayer

  • New Monsters

  • New Bosses

  • New original Music

Any guesses as to what the new "Song of Pain" spell is all about? My guess is that your opponent is forced to listen to Elton John's "Crocodile Rock".

No details on the pricing of the expansion have yet been released, so we'll have to wait and see how much they plan on charging for the title.

PGR3 - REVIEW - Genre: Classical

Classical

Genre Rating: 1

Total Tracks in Genre: 10
Length: approx. 65 mins.

Modest MussorgskyIn my humble opinion, this is a waste of a genre. These tracks are all excellent, taken out of the context of Project Gotham Racing 3. But totally useless as a background for a racing game. Now if it was possible to listen to these tracks outside of the game environment, like playing them as a CD or something, I would be happy to add them to my music library. But you can't do this with an XBOX 360 disc. The only way you can listen to the tracks on this disc is during game play. And for this, they are absolutely worthless. Believe me.. I tired to race to every one of these tracks and.. they just don't work well at all.

There are only 2 possible scenarios I can think of that you could possibly want to race to these tracks.
  1. You are completely infatuated with the Jean Girard character from the movie Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (played outstandingly by Sasha Baron Cohen) and want to pretend you are him.
  2. You are so bored with this game you will try anything to spice it up a bit including trying to race to Classical tracks. If this is the case.. Its time to buy a new game..

In any case I am listing all the tracks in the genre, but decided not to waste my time reviewing each track, since in my opionion they are all equally bad choices for a racing soundtrack. Please.. if you have taken to racing to any of these tracks, its time to buy a new game.

Guide to rating: 1 = Avoid at all costs / 5 = Can't go wrong with this one.

Chunk is the real father of my child

Today, I am heartbroken. I have come to the realization that "Chunk" from the Goonies, is the real father of my youngest son. Here are some photos of both of them.. You be the judge..

Jeff 'Chunk' CohenSammy as Chunk

Speaking of Chunk from the Goonies. Anyone out there remember the game Goonies 2 from the original Nintendo? Man that was a great game. I gotta try to dig up my copy one of these days.
